Baby humpback whales are usually very light in colour. Within days scratches on their soft skin become visible.

These scratches are caused by mum and baby affectionately rubbing against each other.

I like to think that the more scars they have, the more loved they were.

Every year they all sing the same love song.

The song is so powerful it sends waves of vibrations through out the ocean.

Each love song only lasts a year.
